Wlm.exe is an executable that uses both parseRis and wlmscpfs.exe. The behaviour of wlm.exe can be adapted through UPDEg.exe or by editing the configuration files.
ParseRis.exe is used to convert text based files provided by a Radiology Input System to a DICOM dump.
UPDEg.exe is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that allows to configure the behaviour of wlm.exe, wlmscpfs.exe and parseRis.exe. It also provides an interface to create an html file based on the contents of a DICOMDIR compatible medium, echoscu and dcmdump.
UPDE is a project that has been going on for 4 years now and has undergone many changes. While the first versions were programmed in Python, the current version is developped with Ruby. Both languages are quite similar, but Ruby is easier to compile, thanks to RubyScript2Exe. The GUI was developped with the FOX library. The purpose of this project was to learn to program and to provide a functional DICOM Modality Worklist Management SCP. The actual release (v. 0.16) has been tested successfully with equipment from the following manufacturers:
